NashvilleHealth and the Nashville Wellness Collaborative’s “Heart of Nashville” project, funded through the Metro Nashville Public Health Department, creates the city’s first Wellness Opportunity Zone in North Nashville. The passionate team behind this project is dedicated to reducing high blood pressure rates and addressing systemic health inequities in North Nashville. NashvilleHealth is proud to partner with The Nashville Food Project and our other partners to help make positive change together in our community.
A key part of this effort is the role of The Nashville Food Project, which provides heart-healthy meals that support hypertension management and reflect the culture of the community. By reimagining traditional dishes as heart-healthy soul food, they’re helping people take control of their health, without giving up the comfort of familiar flavors.
NashvilleHealth is proud to work alongside The Nashville Food Project and other dedicated partners in this effort. This work reflects the true heart of the initiative: a shared commitment to improving health access and empowering and providing individuals with tools to take control of their well-being. Together, we’re building a healthier, stronger North Nashville.
