MNPS & NashvilleHealth Wellness Week 2023 This year’s Wellness Week was a big success for our Metro Nashville students.
Each day throughout the week of May 8-12 focused on a different theme that allowed them to learn about and practice healthy lifestyles.
We are hopeful last week provided the foundation for healthy habits all year long!Students of all ages learned about physical activity, the importance of water, protecting the earth, nutrition, and emotional well-being. NashvilleHealth is proud to award $5,000 in prizes to the top participating schools. Congratulations to our Wellness Week Winners! Lowering High Blood Pressure Rates in North Nashville Last month we were able to gather key stakeholders and leaders from local businesses, nonprofits, healthcare, and academic institutions in one room with the sole mission of moving Nashville toward #healthequity.
The Health Equity Coalition is eager to continue our hard work on our first pilot project looking to lower hypertension rates in North Nashville!
