New Dashboard to Track Nashville’s Progress on Crisis Preparedness
In 2021, NashvilleHealth released the Nashville COVID-19 Response Review, a report that reviewed the impact of COVID-19 on Nashville communities.
Through our learnings in the 2021 report, we have found a new way to monitor Nashville’s progress toward citywide preparedness for future public health emergencies. Check out our NEW interactive dashboard which tracks our progress on lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Addressing Systemic Inequalities in North Nashville
NashvilleHealth convened dozens of stakeholders in North Nashville to share the importance of our work to combat high blood pressure in 37208. The pilot project, developed by our Health Equity Coalition, is a finalist for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Culture of Health prize that recognizes communities that address systemic inequities.
Exciting Times Ahead
It was great to have our NashvilleHealth board members all together in our new office space. We have a lot of exciting things happening at NashvilleHealth and are proud of our board for championing this progress.
Heat Safety
In Nashville, the average daily UV index in July is 6. Practice sun safety all month by maximizing exposure to direct sunlight 10 AM-4 PM. Wear sunglasses that protect against UVA and UVB and hats which protect from 50% of UV radiation.
