#OurShotNash,#NuestraVacunaNash Campaign to Encourage Vaccinations

Initiative will help promote vaccine acceptance throughout Davidson County

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – With COVID vaccines now available to all Nashvillians over the age of 16, NashvilleHealth has joined with community leaders to launch #OurShotNash or #NuestraVacunaNash to encourage citizens to get vaccinated. The effort will use web-based resources and graphics to raise awareness of vaccine availability, protection, and the impact it can have on managing the pandemic and bringing normalcy back to daily life.

“COVID vaccines really are ‘Our Shot’ at getting back to the things and people we love,” said Senator Bill Frist, M.D., founder and chairman of NashvilleHealth. “The three vaccines available today provide the best and safest route to gain immunity to the virus. They are highly effective at preventing illness and make it less likely you will spread the disease. We have the power to end this pandemic, but we all must do our part and get vaccinated.”

#OurShotNash/#NuestraVacunaNash logos are being made available in easy-to-download formats to all businesses, organizations and individuals that want to join the movement. The logos can be added to websites, shared on social media, used in email signatures, printed and placed on doors and windows to show support for our city. They are available free of charge in both English and Spanish at nashvillehealth.org/ourshotnash.

“As Nashville recovers from the pandemic, this is our opportunity to work together to keep all communities COVID free,” said Juliana Ospina Cano, executive director, Conexión Américas. “The COVID vaccine is ‘Our Shot’ at protecting our most vulnerable and making sure minority communities remain an integral part of Nashville’s social, economic, and cultural vitality.”

Organizations already supporting this campaign include: the Nashville Health Care Council, Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, Conexión Américas, Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Nashville Entrepreneur Center, Center for Nonprofit Management, and Jarrard Phillips Cate & Hancock.
