Sports Science Day
June 23, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Discover the incredible ways science makes the sports you know and love possible! Through invigorating hands-on fun, we’ll have fun for the whole family! Activities included with general admission.
- HIT THE ICE
Hockey is perhaps the best sport to focus on for an exploration of Newton’s Laws of Motion with players colliding, skates gliding across the ice, and more. Discover how gear protects players during all of those collisions with other players and the puck!
- QUICK TO REACT
How fast can you react to changing circumstances? Reaction time is an important skill for an athlete to possess, and can be the difference between winning and losing! Test your reaction time in a fun hands-on activity, and see if you have the speed to beat the game.
- HOLE IN ONE
Ready to earn your green jacket? Then you will need to learn about friction and gravity! Explore how these forces influence your game as you play a round on our upstairs putt-putt course.
